Well, a cursory search of the public internet lead to exactly nothing, so I turn now to the Car Internet for some sleuthing help. I am trying to find a Model A club (or loosely banded group of individuals with nothing better to do than fix things that probably aren't really all that broken) in Birmingham, AL.
I'm a transplant to the city from a neighboring state to the right and one thing I need more of in my life is old cars and even older people that know all about them. Bonus points for every decade younger than the car that the driver is. (So far, I add at least 5 points, so I'm worth at least that!) And I'm bona fide!
Alternatively, if you have a Model A club in another city and want to fly me in every weekend or so, I would take that as well.

Have you tried looking for a national model a club or early ford club. Some national clubs will have local chapters. Kinda like inliners international. Are you looking for stock models or rodded ones?

Yeah, the MAFCA site doesn't point to anything in the area, unfortunately. Odd since Birmingham has the hallmarks of a city that would have such a club - old, southern, surrounded by rural areas.

One thing that could be causing the problem is just that most people into restored model a is just dying off. Most people (myself included) would rather modernize a model a. I'm part of a hot rod council that is comprised of multiple car clubs in the Portland Oregon area. We have lost a few clubs due lack of newer younger members joining while the others are dying off.
